Gatte Ki Sabzi is a popular gravy based dish from the Rajasthani cuisine.  To make yum yum and soft gatte follow the step by step recipe.

Ingredients:

  1. Gatte
  2. Besan (Gram flour)
  3. Curd
  4. Salt as per taste
  5. Ajwain (Carom Seeds)
  6. Red Chilli Powder
  7. Haldi (turmeric)
  8. Garam Masala
  • Gravy
  • 1 Onion
  • Tomato Puree (2 Tomatoes)
  • 1 Tbsp Ginger & Garlic Past
  • 1/4 tsp kasuri methi
  • Red Chilli Powder
  • Haldi (turmeric)
  • Garam Masala
  • Oil
  • Gatte
    • Take a small bowl, add Besan in it.
    • Add curd, oil, 1/4th tsp salt1/4 tsp haldi, 2 pinch ajwain (carom) seeds.
    • Knead it well and keep it soft.
    • Make thin long rolls 
    • Boil 2 glass of water in a pan put few drops of oil, 1 pinch of salt.
    • Then put the rolls and let them boil it for 15 Mins on low flame.
    • Once it is ready, take it out and cut them into 1 inch small round pieces.
    • Keep the water for gravy.

Steps:

  • Gravy
    • Take a pan, add some oil in it.
    • Once oil is heated, add chopped onion in it.  
    • Saute onion in a pan till its golden brown
    • Add ginger garlic paste, salt, red chilli powder, haldi, kasuri methi.
    • Add  tomato puree
    • Add  Gatte in the gravy and stir, cook them for few minutes
    • Put water and keep it on low flame for atleast 10 min
    • GARNISH it with coriander.
